Goldy been really good at the top of the order. I know we all dislike boone but that decision been fine
But Rice has been used there, too?? Meanwhile, it seems to me that Jazz is the guy who should be batting leadoff, but I’m sure the Yankees have a team of stat nerds working on the lineup and they disagree.

How about that White Sox outfield of Bo Jackson, Ellis Burks and Tim Raines? That’s a pretty decent group of athletes there. LOL.

Raines couldn't throw much, but he could fly. Was also a top echelon teammate by all reports.

As far as the Sox OF goes, I'm going to have to see a bit more before I put them over Benintendi/JBJ/Betts

Chisholm is too much of a free swinger to lead off I think. .310 OBP ain't getting it done

Agreed. JBJ was the best CF I’ve ever seen on the Sox. Betts was a gold glover in right and Benintendi was also elite defensively. Tough to match that.

We really crying about goldy batting leadoff considering he’s batting nearly .400 10 games in? Like I said I get mostly everyone dislike Boone but the leadoff guy is not the issue with this team at all 11 games

Goldy makes the most sense if you care about the leadoff guy getting on. Of course if you looking for the typical fast guy at leadoff then it should be Jazz or Volpe

Nobody “crying” at all. This was a conversation about the Yankees batting a catcher leadoff for the first time, but only doing it once. Nobody even mentioned Goldschmidt.

Yankees scored 20 runs the game after with Goldy ant leadoff and a good amount the game after that. There was no reason to go back to wells at leadoff yet

We’ve discussed this previously, but this has to be among the best defensive outfields the Sox have ever had. All 3 guys have a legit shot at a gold glove. Look at this catch by Rafaela with a 5% chance:

I've already seen Duran make some excellent plays off the wall. If he continues to improve, he'll get a few people out trying to stretch singles into doubles. It is fun to watch this group...

Of course Cora sees a lefty starting and sits Casas(fine) and Abreu(inexcusable). It’s not like the Blue Jays are starting Steve Carlton tonight. I hate that shit.
Or…maybe the Jays WERE starting Steve Carlton. They can’t touch this guy.
