Hard to argue that.

OTOH, they’ve managed to stay within 2 games of first place, despite putting five starters on the DL, plus a starting 3b and starting 2b, and having their most expensive free agent signee shit the bed halfway through the season and blow ten games.

At this point I’m just hoping they hang on to a playoff spot…

They will be fine. Can’t see 3 teams passing them

I don't think much really changes in regards to which AL teams make the playoffs. I feel confident in NYY/BAL/CLE/HOU making it and 2/3 of BOS/MIN/KCR. Mariners are starting to look a little toasty. If the Sox pitching doesn't improve, they could be in the same boat.

Yep i agree. Mariners are cooked

Biggest question left is who win east and central and if boston can steal a spot from one of the al central teams

O’s cant seem to solve them…

I know the yanks got them very early in the year, but they seem like world beaters now.

They must be cheating again.

Yoshida hitting .359/.443/.563 since the Break. Only 13 strikeouts in 122 PA

He's hitting far fewer grounders this year. He's gone from a 54.6% GB% in '23 to 41.4% this year.

I think there’s a good chance of that, especially if Kyle Tucker returns healthy in September. The Astros are just a dynasty right now.
The Yankees look hard to beat as well, and if they get decent production from guys other than Judge/Soto they will be a very difficult out in the postseason. Not sure what to make of the Orioles at the moment.

Judge with a legit shot at being the only Yankee to pop 60 HRs twice

Only needs 12 with 34 games left. 15 to break his 2 year old record.

He is on pace for 61. Does he go into a slump when he gets near 60 again? He tends to struggle whenever he comes up on a number, same way ARod did.

I don't think he's the same guy he was even 2 years ago. Since starting the season poorly, he's been basically slump-proof. He's hitting .376 since May 1st.

I like his chances.

Another year of 1 and done of your New York Yankees

Thanks Steinbrenners, your concerns for yankee fans are overwhelmingly just not there.

4-0 with Casas and Devers homering, but it feels like the wheels are about to come off for Houck.
