idk what to make of Bello at this point. He gets a lot of ground balls (career GB% of 55.8%), but he's rather HR prone (around 1.4 HR/9 the last 2 years and he's had a HR/FB rate above 17% in '23 and '24). the K/BB rates are unremarkable. He's only seen a small increase in his strikeout rate, but his walk rate has gone up from 2.6 BB/9 to 3.4. his sinker has been getting killed so far. his changeup hasn't been as effective. he did scrap his fastball (it got killed last year) and cutter, I do feel like he needs something to differentiate from his sinker

Very fun game…..

The Phillies fans presence made for a close to 50/50 crowd. Kind of had playoff intensity plus that unique crowd situation which made it feel like a high school football game intensity haha. Not bad entertainment for a Friday night at home with beers.

Who the fuck is this guy Cowser standing there watching a homerun vs Wheeler? He’s acting like I’m supposed to know him but I looked him up and he has a career OPS of .662

Cowser is just one of the many many orioles prospects that they have in the minors or first year in the majors that is ready to tear up MLB pitching.

Gunnar, Adley, and Cowser all have hit homers against Wheeler and his 2ish ERA so far during this game. Its currently the fourth inning.
