Best they do it now since they weren’t going to put him on the postseason roster. Hopefully he’ll be 100% by spring training in 2025.This is a shame. He had a great season this year and looked to be one of the best closers in the game. Fortunately, they have Yennier Cano to step in to take his place.
Fucking sad. Garbage baseball fans don’t deserve playoff baseball.
Monty was one of my favoritesThe Yankee 2022 trade deadline moves, the gift that keeps giving.
I killed that stupid trade when they made it and it just looks worse and worse. But why would the Yankees want to keep a home grown lefty sinkerball pitcher who wanted to stay when they could pick up an often injured, light hitting centerfielder?Monty was one of my favorites

The one good starting pitcher he manages to draft and he couldn't wait to get rid of him. I eagerly await him to trade Schimdt in the off season for a utility guy coming off a torn acl.At least Bader didn't have a boot on his foot upon arrival.....oh wait......one of many horrible moves by Cashman.....and there are many to chose from, but this one made zero sense as we discussed when it happened......

Of course not, lefties are never successful at Yankee Stadium. You also don't need that many lefties in Yankee Stadium......
They need to move that team. The TV ratings are ok I read but the stadium is a disaster and in a difficult place to get to. Better off watching it at home than dealing with the traffic and craptacular surroundings.Any Tampa Bay fans here?
No?
Apparently not in Florida either.... Not since 1919 has a (non-pandemic) playoff crowd been less...
Historic low: Less than 20,000 Tampa Bay Rays fans showed up to the team's first playoff game
Despite a 99-win season, Rays' fans did not show up to their team's first playoff game, with only 19,704 fans in Tropicana Field, the fewest since 1919.www.usatoday.com
