The Yankees have a chance in their next 20 to make the AL East regret not burying them

This Angels team is awful, I want no less than all 4

Bats need to stay awake. I have a ton of confidence in 4 of the 5 starters to consistently give us quality starts.

Jays have now lost 2 straight to the Tigers, looks like the team is having a Jekyl and Hyde type season.

As long as they have a four game losing streak by the end of the weekend, I'll be happy.

Sox and O's are too good to concern myself with the AL East. I'm focused on the 2nd WC

That might be the Jays focal point too, the 2nd wild card.

I disagree, I think the Jays have just as much of a shot as the O's/Sox at winning the division. Their rotation looks a lot better now that Aaron Sanchez is breaking out and I expect Stroman to turn it around. Estrada probably won't keep a sub-3 ERA up forever, but he has been outperforming his peripherals for a while now. You could do a lot worse with the back end of your rotation than Dickey/Happ. Jays offense should only get better.

What the hell's happened to Russell Martin though?

Last night was a tough loss, but Price continues to pitch well. Can't blame him for last night's loss. Sox couldn't get much going outside of Young/Betts.

Sox draft Groome. Wanted Collins, but I can absolutely live with this.

60 games in and the Yanks are 30-30.

@obxyankeefan @Pastafazul @DirtDirtDirt how many wins do you think they need in the final 102 games in order to get in the playoffs. I'm guessing around 55 which would mean they have to go 55-47. Doesn't sound too bad

I would say high 80s would be the second WC.

58-42 doable but have to avoid the injuries.

Nice clutch hit by Kim to lead off the 9th, Machado moves him over to 3rd, Davis gets the sac fly to give us the lead and then Britton closes it out for the win. Productive baseball at it's finest.

Kim was looking like a complete bust and a tricky situation after spring training when he refused assignment.

But, apparently all he needed was to get to the regular season

Lets Go O's Hon.

That and for Rickard to come back to earth after his hot start, which was very similar to Jimmy Paredes last year.

Yeah, the Blue Jays may win the division but they got to started playing more consistent. Lost last night 6 to 5, lost 3 of 4. Hope they pick it up tonight

Sabathia's FIP is 3.33. His best mark by far since 2012 (his last good year). His xFIP, though, is 4.62. Which would be a career worst. A 3.2% HR/FB rate (career 9.7%) is very unsustainable. And Sabathia's been one of the more HR-prone pitchers in baseball over the last three years.

I really hope he keeps it up, I've always liked Sabathia. But I'm not buying into his current stats. That doesn't mean he can't be an effective pitcher again though.
