It drives me nuts. The lineup was starting to jell and Buck benched two of the hottest bats in the lineup.
Who cares if it has been a grind. You cannot just randomnly rest guys in the middle of Sept pennant race.

even if they are dinged up, you have to play them.
They can get healthy in the offseason.

They did score 6 runs, but it seemed completely out of sync and disjointed.

Davis was given the day off to rest and heal since he came out of the game Tuesday night. I agree with you about benching the other players though.
