Making the playoffs 23 straight years is awesome but the Wings are one and done this year, probably just like the Wild. The Sharks actually have a chance IMO.

They said the same thing about the kings a few years ago....one thing i learned watching playoff hockey is you can throw the seeds out the window...too many close games and no shoot outs....detroit lost alot of shoot outs this year....anyways....im glad the wings kept the streak alive playing with their grand rapids roster..at one time detroit had their top 5 centers on the DL.

I don't think offense will be the issue with the Wings, only the Flyers have allowed more goals than the Wings, that was not the case with the Kings a couple years ago. Only the Blues had allowed less goals in the 2011-2012 season than the Kings, great goaltending can win the cup, the Wings do not have great goaltending.

We won with chris osgood.....the hawks won with corey fuggin crawford last year...anyone can get hot...crawford almost lost his job last year. Then won the cup....its detroits defense that sucks...they give up 30+ shots all the time....kindl is this teams version of ryan raburn...

Having good defensive centers like datsyuk, zetterberg, weiss, and helm help the goalie out big time....we had kids who were more offensive minded then defensive minded.

I dont think the wings get by the bruins tho....but i do think they wouldve beat pitt.....bostons good....but its playoffs....keep it close and anything can happen..


Bruins over chicago for the cup....only if toews and kane are healthy...otherwise....the west is a toss up..

Regarding baseball. Great to see the twins finally pitch this weekend and come up with key at bats to sweep the royals.

Fanasty team back up to second. Bad news is, injuries still piling up. Idk how long I can continue to camp on Machado. I believe victorino will be back soon. Zimmerman out at least a month....fuck.

Looking at the season series the Wings beat them 3 of 4 and outscored them 13 - 9. Maybe the wings have a shot. The Wild went 0 - 4 - 1 against Colorado, so we could be in trouble.

In the east I like Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay and what the heck i'm calling for the upset. Detroit beats Boston!

In the west I like Anaheim, Colorado, Chicago and Los Angeles.

Wild definitely didn't excel vs Colorado but most games were very close and duchene is out for the avs.
