Yes, he had a few drops in both the first and second half and he also made 2 very good catches.

The most important thing I saw about him is that he was getting wide open. The defenders couldn't cover him. One he relaxes, those drops will turn into catches. He was running good routes and he had good game day speed.

Hopefully, as you alluded to, it was just a case of the nerves and not a sign that we may have another Michael Crabtree, a WR that can make the occasional spectacular catch while dropping too many of the too easy. Overall I graded him out at a "B"

Didn't Jerry Rice start out with several drops in his rookie year? Not comparing the two, just saying it can happen to the best early on.

Everyone has drops... nothing to take away, like Hangman said, he ran good routes and got open. Made one or 2 good catches etc...

I'm just going to be tough on Jenkins since the in the beginning into the offseason, the articles/spotlight were less than good on him in terms of practice and performance. But been shaping up since though.

but everyone knew Hill would need more transition time? so in this particular case, fans will have to wait till next season......if not another?

and another...and another...

Bottom line Jenkins won't be asked to do a lot since we got additional Wr help

agreed.

do want to see Jenkins get a few reps each game, but not expecting him to play a lot. its not so much Jenkins, but we should play the better, more experienced WR's.

we could utilize his quickness on some wr screens. gonna be fun to see what harbaugh tries with all the talent we have on offense. jenkins might not put up huge numbers but he's got enough talent to contribute.

I'm envisioning us in a jumbo set, then subbin' the bigs and going 3 wide shotgun with James in the backfield to one back 2 TE on consecutive plays and running them with 15 seconds on the play clock. The defense will barely be able to get their playcalls in, no time for adjustments, utter confusion, mooohahahahahaha!

When has that happened? Honestly, I can't think of a single spectacular catch from that slouch. Given where he was drafted, and how long he held out, he should be making spectacular catches two or three times a game. His production suggests he was drafted several rounds too early. His attitude and work ethic are...

...I'll leave that one alone.
