Chargers have 3:

D.J. Fluker, RT: Improving in pass protection. Great against the run. Key component to a greatly improved line. Will be starting for years.

Manti Te'o, ILB: Missed first 3 games due to injury. Hasn't made the big plays he was known for at Notre Dame but is still learning. The MNF announcers never mentioned that with Butler out he had the headset while the Chargers kept Luck out of the endzone. He'll be starting if healthy as nobody on the roster behind him is even close.

Keenan Allen, WR: Could wind up being the steal of the draft. 2 straight 100 yd games and slowly becoming Rivers' #1 target.

If Telesco can have a couple of more drafts like this one the Chargers will be making some noise.

2013 Draft?

Only Chiefs Draft pick to start is Eric Fisher at RT.

Marcus Cooper CB has done a damn good job filling in for the pro bowler Flowers. Cooper may even take his job the way he is playing and push Flowers to the nickel ( drawing comparisons to Kevin Ross) a Cooper was a7th rounder drafted by the 49ers. But technically, he doesn't count.

1a-Dee Milliner CB (though hes missed some games due to injury, he'll be back vs the Patriots)

1b-Sheldon Richardson DT

2-Geno Smith QB

3-Brian Winters OG, just took over the starting LG spot from Ducasse vs the Falcons. Overall he has done a good job.

3 guys

OFC.

Bell, RB (2nd)...missed 1st 3 games with a foot injury...has looked very promising in the 2 games he's played.

DEF

Jones, OLB (1st)...he's not made any sacks yet, but 2 TFL, both were big hits, and his QB hit caused a pick in the last game...from what I see see so far...he's too small to go up against OTs with good feet, but TEs and RBs he beats.

WIlliams, ILB (6th)...taking over the injured Larry Foote...really struggled in his 1st game, but has made great progress...last week was probably his best game. Still learning the position, but I like his athletic ability.

He definitely looks promising. Seems to have good ability to get open.

I'm not sure Te'o will be a star or even standout player in the NFL, but I really wanted Allen this past draft...him or Patterson...

Why thank god? Having rookies start isn't a bad thing if they are playing good.

For the first time in years we have incumbent starters that are staying healthy and not challenged by the young guys. Most of them started as impressive rookies. So there's nothing wrong with it, just depends on where the team is at.

Though now that I think about it, Michael Bowie has started and may be outplaying his counterpart Giacomini. Luke Willson has started over Zach Miller as an injury replacement, but Miller comes back this week.

Don't forget, Shmarko Thomas saw starting duties in the nickel CB position for a few games due to injuries out the gate. He's starting to get more reps at FS now.

Starter:
Star Lotulelei - been an up-and-down start, but overall he's done ok. 11 tackles, 1 sack.
Robert Lester (UDFA, 2 games due to injury depletion). 2 games, 2 INTs, and a fumble recovery. Not too shabby.
Played a lot:
Kawaan Short - done well as a backup, 12 tackles, 1.5 sacks
Played a little:
AJ Klein (still learning the game, but had 3 tackles against MN. Mainly STs right now).
Kenjon Barner - been hurt most of the time.
IR:
Edmund Kulbiga - big disappointment to see him there, since we could have taken someone like Barret Jones.

1. 3rd round pick TE Jordan Reed.

6th round pick Bacarri Rambo started the first few games but struggled so he doesn't anymore.
