Skins are #1 in time of possession…by more than 2 minutes to the next closest team…Skins average 36:19 per game...holy cow!
Skins are #8 in total offensive yards per game
Skins are #4 in opponent yards per game
The Redskins don't have the most talented roster. But, the Redskins would not have stats like this without good coaching, sound game planning, and proper execution by the players…team effort.
What these stats show...The Redskins are pretty good in the trenches on both sides of the ball.
IMO its a pretty impressive start. You can only do so much with what you have available. Without some of the injuries, might even be better. Injuries are a significant part of today's NFL. Kind of changes things week to week. It's when good/great GM's can make a difference.
Can this team compete with Atlanta? If we win the game in the trenches, this game is winnable.
