we've had some discussion on this Dawg, but it didn't get far on account that no one cares about the AAU anymore, if in fact people cared in the first place

I don't really know much about it, but the article implied that it might have helped there chances when being selected to the Big 10. I don't really believe that, I mean I don't have to tell you homers of the prestige of Nebraska football.

I thought it was interesting that N is the first school to lose membership & odd that it was a such long time member, nearly a founding school. What it means is that Nebraska has apparently lessened there interest in research somehow. Seems like most of it stems from the AAU not showing as much respect to agricultural research.

Yeah...we've lessened our interest in research...that's a reasonable assumption....

Who know's what we're going to waste our share of BILLIONS of $$$ the gubament gives to the Big 10 schools + the University of Chicago.

Maybe we'll throw a couple bucks at this little ditty...
