Without looking, I'd be curious to see how many people could actually name who every playoff team would be in the AFC if the season ended today.

1. Houston - 6-1
2. Baltimore - 5-2
3. New England - 5-2
4. Denver - 4-3

I think the majority of fans could come up with that. However, it gets interesting when you see who the two wild cards would be.

5. Miami - 4-3 - Wins tie breaker over Indianapolis and Pittsburgh based on best win percentage in conference games.

6. Indianapolis - 4-3 - Wins tie breaker over Pittsburgh based on best win percentage in conference games.

-----

7. Pittsburgh - 4-3 -

8. San Diego - 3-4 - Wins tie breaker over Buffalo and Cincinnati based on best win percentage in conference games. Division tie breaker was initially used to eliminate Oakland (San Diego wins tie breaker over Oakland based on head-to-head win percentage).

9. Oakland - 3-4 - Wins tie breaker over Buffalo and Cincinnati based on best win percentage in conference games.

10. Buffalo - 3-4 - Wins tie breaker over Cincinnati based on best win percentage in conference games.

11. Cincinnati - 3-4 -

12. New York - 3-5 - Wins tie break over Tennessee based on best win percentage in conference games.

13. Tennessee - 3-5

The Colts don't surprise me. I said before the season started that i expected them to be one of the wild card teams. Still a long way to go, though. I definitely didn't think Miami would be doing this well.

My prediction:

Houston
New England
Baltimore
Denver
Indy
Pittsburgh

On a side note, how about Andrew Luck for MVP?

Antonio Cromartie says the New York Jets will make the playoffs, and his notoriously bombastic coach was quick to back him up. "The Jets (3-5) will make the playoffs this year," Cromartie said Thursday morning on the NFL Network's "NFL AM" show. "We believe in each other, we believe in what Coach Ryan and his staff is putting us to schemes and stuff, so we definitely are going to make the playoffs this year."

Rookie of the year maybe, but not MVP. I don't see a clear MVP right now. Who do you guys think will get comeback player of the year though? Peterson or Manning?

If he takes the Colts to the Playoffs he deserves serious consideration IMO. Matt Ryan, JJ Watt, Aaron Rodgers, and Peyton Manning are all on my list as well.

But the MVP is a stat driven award. Maybe that isn't what it is supposed to be, but that is what it has become. He is getting wins and playing well, but he isn't putting up "MVP Numbers."
