No more empty backfield formations for Romo. Protect him at all costs. The COWBOYS have 6 wins and 16 losses without T ROMO.........two severe back injuries....two broken collar bones......broken ribs....punctured lung............no Romo ,no chance

Is that a response? really. I have to admit you're the best name caller on this board......and that's about it.
And if the COWBOYS had a head coach with guts, it is just that simple. But change takes leadership.

really....just keep a back in for protection and Romo stays clean and free of any harm on a football field.

best name caller?
and all from less than 40 posts?
perhaps it's just your butt hurt ways from the ESPN days

just the facts

Keeping a back in for protection would work better if we had a back that could block....

Think about it ....the season is hanging by a thread anyway. It's all over if we don't win on Sunday

I'm sending Romo out there with every play in the book, ready to go. Romo is a big boy who can take care of himself. Romo loves to extend plays ...but sometimes to a fault. That is my concern and a RB is not going to save him from that.

I agree....backs to the wall has never had a bigger meaning for this team after 7 consecutive losses. No margin for error from here on out. Win or plan for the draft

they had mcfadden as an up back in the formation, so technically speaking, it was not an empty backfield.......and now it's three broken collarbones?

So if they always have a RB back there, Romo would NEVER sacked?

As I've said many, many, many times...the most fragile QB in the game. The guy just can't take the hits an NFL QB needs to without getting seriously injured. The Romo era isn't over, but it's going to be on again, off again for the rest of his career.

Sadly, this sums it up. I'm tooting the Dak Prescott horn till the draft. Not a 1st, but would take him on 2nd or 3rd. Russell Wilson 2.0 IMO

Romo over his last five complete seasons has averaged 34 sacks a season........Aikman for his whole career averaged 21 sacks a season. Aikman only had one season when he had over 34 sacks.......39 in 1990. Romo has been hit too many times. Tony is 35 going on 40.

No question the Cowboys need to look for a QB in the draft, but with 9 months to get rested and ready, Romo will be the starter, for as long as he can last. If the Cowboys really want to help keep Romo upright, I think another WR that would require a double and another threat at RB would help the cause

Romo brings most of the sacks on himself because he is unable to, too stubborn to or not smart enough to realize an NFL QB must get rid of the ball quickly.

Well maybe they win who knows how many more but we will have a high draft pick.

Lots of holes to fill RB,CB, QB, DT, LB or BPA in no particular order

Somebody needs to start telling Jerry Jones don't get cute hourly till the draft ifs over

Seeing his wife the other day was sad. Seeing him lay there again was bad as well. I do wonder what will be discussed in the offseason. This is a funny league though. There is no doubt the Panthers are better than we are. I know they were in the playoffs last year but nobody expected this. I still think we have a Super Bowl run in us with this core group.

Panthers D is no joke. First time I saw them this year.
We need to keep McClay happy and in the family, have a great draft with high draft picks and start another year.
I feel bad for Romo.
