Here's the good side of things. Every championship team must overcome adversity to win the championship. What better time to have your adversity, but at the beginning of the season?

You hate to lose any game at home, but there are plenty of teams that won championships with a poor start on the season.

The Broncos started this season with the assumption that they were going to run the ball to set up the pass. Yet - Viola!! late in the game against the Bears - the Broncos had to pass the ball down the field to score and almost win the game. Flacco is turning out to be a QB whose judgement you can trust - the Broncos need to open up the offense and put some trust in Flacco - he's earned it.

My bold prediction is that these Broncos will surprise everyone by becoming a formidable offense - a point scoring crew of talent. When that happens this season will flip and the Defense gets to play to it's strength. That's when these Broncos will be making a good run through the schedule. Book it - Dano!!!

The 1st thing to do is fit Bolles with a electronic collar - someone on the sidelines gives him a little jolt when he is supposed to let go of the block. He needs only to learn to disengage his blocks - rather than trying to bulldoze someone to the ground. Three of his four holding calls were on run plays when the action had already cleared his space.

I'd also be looking into Yiadom's eye's to see if he is going to be able to get to the next level - or if he is one of those guys who needs to sit a while to get his head together.

The Broncos have enough good tacklers on this team - they need to be jumping the short routes to pick off passes - that's what puts doubt in a QBs mind after the snap.

I agree Mingo we are about to let the horses run .we been keeping the bit tight in the player's mouths.

My guess we will go all out this next game both sides on the line.

we, for the most part, are playing not to lose.

Time to play to win.

I love when people fight and strive through adversity. We all do it here when that darn headcase SpringStein is around.

The problem is with so few games you cant win it in September but you can sure lose it. Houston last year went 0-3 and finished 11-5. It can be done.

The team we have is fixable. My problem is the refs seem to be against us winning again so, to be honest, I have kind of lost some interest in the NFL again this is not the first time the NFL is done this either.

I will watch most of the broncos games, But I have grown weary of every time there is a big play the refs throw flags.

Hell, even Brady the biggest puss of the NFL cant watch the flag fest no more.

I had to watch that closing sequence several times and deliberately avoided it for a few days. I have too good a life to get upset about football, but even knowing this I’d have been annoyed if I had reviewed it Monday or Tuesday.

The refs boned the Broncos. Full stop. It was the same problem the Broncos has on the punt return against the Ravens last year. The ref saw a Ravens player stumble forward as if blocked in the back, but he wasn’t in a position to see the alleged block. He threw the flag anyway and the film shows there was no block. But the ref called the penalty based on what he thought happened not what actually happened. Result: instead of a game breaking touchdown it was a momentum changing penalty. All based on what a ref THOUGHT but didn’t see happen.

Now the refs with 9 seconds left knew what was coming. The bears needed a gain and a timeout for the FG attempt. The anticipation of the timeout is reasonable but the timeout can’t be called until the play has ended. The play ended at 0:01 so the earliest the timeout can apply is 0:00, which is officially AFTER THE GAME.

Look, the Broncos should have played better earlier in the game. But at that moment the team had battled back and taken the lead. It had done what it needed to do to win the game. The refs gave the Bears a post-game FG attempt. No other way to slice it.

I don’t know what needs to happen to get these kind of mistakes under control. Inconsistencies in how penalties are called (holding on Bolles, but none of our opponents) are bad enough but stuff like this should result in dismissals of officials.

It starts here - today - in Green Bay. A Broncos renaissance (french word- thrown in - for the edification of @LGM).

I say this - though - I think the Broncos have a better chance of losing today than winning. I am certain - though - to put myself out there - and say today will show further progress toward a team in sync and in rhythm.

We are better than our record shows.

This team is well-coached.

At this point, I think we as fans need to hope for the development of young players and to get better each week.

We are a young team and not as far off as plenty of other teams.

I am not completely giving up yet but I am starting to wonder about this D Sceem and weather it going to fit our players?
