ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Bills are "on the verge" of signing free agent Stevie Johnson to a five-year contract.
It will be interesting to see whether Johnson gets significantly more than the five-year, $35 million offer Pierre Garcon reportedly turned down from the Colts. The contract agreement would allow the Bills to avoid a last-minute franchise tag ahead of Monday's 4PM ET deadline. Johnson turns 26 in July. The five-year deal would keep him under control through his age-30 campaign.
