When I tore my ACL playing ball in college, I walked off the field and stayed around for the rest of the game. I didn't go to a hospital for a couple of hours after the game.

When your franchise goes down with a knee injury, get him a cart

He wasn't sure how badly he was hurt. He tried to just "walk it off". I completely understand this, having had a similar injury. When you are hurt and are as competitive as he is, you don't want to leave the game. You test it to see how bad it is.

I also don't get how they had him sit like that on the cart... Shouldn't he have been laying down on the stretcher portion of it? Also, why did they make him walk down stairs to get to the ambulance/team locker room? Why not just take him out by the outfield fence?

Position of comfort on the cart. Again, he wasn't sure how badly he was hurt. They did assist him down the stairs to the lockerroom where he was evaluated properly. The trainer probably had a good idea what had happened, but needed the diagnostic imaging to be certain.

Yeah they are still pretty loaded on offense. And Acuna hadn't shown any power at all this season. Riley and Murphy just came back. And they still have months left to pick up another outfielder if they need it.
