the ACCT in Charlotte is perfect
big fan of the Currie hire. His track record says he's great at getting donors to buy in + he's nailed his college basketball coaching hires. Also, has a previous relationship with Dave Clawson + Clawson has raved about Currie. agreed with you about Currie + Tennessee.
fwiw, i have reasons to believe that they're going to go after Shaka Smart again. Currie has been working at Texas for the past few months, serious smoke around Smart's job security @ Texas + Wake is a picture perfect fit for Smart. there's also online rumors (lol) tying Smart to Wake (again, lol, b/c online rumors never turn out to be wrong, right?)

I was just about to mention this. The Tigers, a charter member of the ACC have only made it to the Final Round twice, in 1962 and 2008. Clemson's only Conference Tournament Championship is the Southern in 1939 and that season they were 9th in the league and the school was still known officially as Clemson Agricultural College.
CU has finished 1st in the ACC standings once, in 1990 which led to them being bounced in the Semifinals of the ACC Tournament and a Sweet 16 run in the Dance which was later vacated by the NCAA. As part of the Southern Conference before the Atlantic Coast spinoff, they finished 2nd in 1935. That led to a 1st Round exit in the SoCon Tournament.
Their futility in conference play is only outdone by whatever strange karma that exists for the Tigers when they play North Carolina in Chapel Hill. The Tigers played at UNC for the first time in January 1926 and they lost. And that's all they've done at UNC since then, regardless of venue. If the Tar Heels are hosting Clemson, it's etched in stone as a marked win. It's a record of futility that outmatches even Death and Taxes as wealthy individuals have learned how to loophole their way out of taxes and both Jesus of Nazareth and Nikki Sixx have come back from the dead at least once. But Clemson has never beaten North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
Clemson University: Football School.
I prefer Greensboro over any other venue
I've always preferred the ACC Tournament in Charlotte or Greensboro, leaning towards Greensboro though Charlotte I think has the higher seating capacity since they also host Michael Jordan's Tax Write Off. Greensboro and Charlotte have always been good, centralized locations. It's unfortunate they've not tried letting Columbia host it since the Palmetto State always gets ignored for these things. The occasional Washington, DC or Landover appearance or Atlanta isn't so bad either.
New York City, and not even the ideal location is just weird.
Charlotte/Greensboro/DC/Atlanta
There's your four city rotation, but never going to happen b/c #Barclays
Atlanta is getting deep dicked by the ACC, tbh
I like that rotation. The only thing I can see going against Atlanta is that it's a direct home city to one of the ACC's members, Georgia Tech. Even that's a stretch though as it's Atlanta which is known for "I just work here."
