that was a tough spot to be in for the devils or any team. caps lost to the thrashers the night before...come home to a saturday night home opener you konw that was a tough spot! i would of given them so much more props if they pulled that out! thats as close to a playoff game atmosphere as you could get 2nd game of the season


BUUUUUUT

that being said with a record of 0-1-1 and the pens coming in tomorrow its time that the devils look hungry and put it the pens like the caps did to us! i know they are 0-2 also but still! i'm glad the pens are coming in next.....if they win it wouldnt be the same as say against the av's

*= pre strike year with allstar defense in front of him and clutch and grab in full effect!

however since he's set most of his records his mental lapses have become more and more abundant

Yeah, lots of people jump to Marty's defense when you question him on certain performances but i think he deserves criticism over that game. Just wasn't good enough.

Poor Hedberg too, i know it didn't matter at that point in the game but still wasn't the best way to start. Looking forward to Pens tonight, Martin's in for a lot of boo's i'm sure.
