On par...The defense (The Caps supposed biggest weakness) has been far better and their penalty kill is top five in the league. The offense has been reasonably good by most standards, but not quite what we expect from this team. Like eloco said, I too, believe the goals will come. The netminding has been adequate and I think that once the big guns find their scoring touch, they'll be a tough out for anyone.
*The Caps season can't really be evaluated until after their quest for the Cup ends. As was proven last year and many other times, the regular season doesn't matter. You just gotta get there!

Yep. For me its on par. Top 5 in PK and good defense is more than I expected, but the lack of goals and struggles in PP is less than I expected, so it averages out to on par.
