I honestly wonder if he would be even a fraction as bad as he is if Burfict does not lay down that cheap shot.

I don't know. Imbecile is pretty strong.
There are many words that can be used. At some point, he lost it. Thanks Steelers :)

Not sure I buy the famous hit on AB. Quite frankly, Pats had receivers that were hit late or early, etc. Look at J Meyers after getting plastered by the Buffalo guy who was almost dead on the field. He clobbered Meyers but only out 2-3 games. He is doing quite good, has improved since he jumped ship.

Not in the same game of course. But the young aggressive guy took his toll.

Yes he would... Or was, rather. It was documented from several former Steelers players how much of an ass AB was. His success made everyone just deal with his BS, and the staff largely kept a lid on him. Once he became the highest paid WR, and then Juju Smith-Schuster stole his limelight he went off the rails.

That really was some dumb fucking shit to piss off the greatest performing WR in the league. And for what? Just to pretend the steelers brand is bigger than their best players? Already knew that. Didn't need some dying rooney to flatulate one last time.

This is that point. Before this, he was an asshole. After, he was a complete train wreck.

Jakobi Meyers is a guy that has had to work his ass off for everything he's ever accomplished. That gives him a humility that Antonio Brown is completely incapable of. Especially since Burfict broke his brain.

I am sure I have seen that hit before, but I dont specifically remember it. That is vicious. Almost criminal. He doesn’t lower for the hit until the ball is well past AB. And it looks like a broken neck for AB could have been on the table there.

Brain trauma is a bitch. No 2 people will react the same, and once there is damage, there is no correcting it.

I get that the hit by Burfict remains as a factor but AB was off before that. Lots of players over the years took hits as bad or even worse and didn't turn out like AB. It has become an excuse foe a man that simply has and had mental problems and bad character.

100%

But both arguments could still be correct. Just because his starting point may have been closer to “crazy” than most, doesn’t mean that the hit didn’t adjust his placement on that scale. And just because others may have been hit worse and may not have been effected as bad, doesn’t mean the hit didn’t effect HIM. Head trauma is unique for everyone.
