Well... according to Jets head coach Rex Ryan, at least.

Yesterday during a press conference, Ryan voiced his surprise and displeasure at the snub of his starting DE Sheldon Richardson's in this year's Pro-Bowl voting in typical Rex Ryan fashion. He didn't name names, saying only "I guess you guys will figure out who I'm talking about". But unnamed sources (and basic process of elimination) paint Rams DT Aaron Donald as the focus of his rant.

Personally, I think both players make an excellent case for inclusion. But, Rex went a bit overboard with his comments. It's not like either is some undeserving scrub. If Richardson had made it instead, as a Rams fan, I honestly wouldn't be all that bent out of shape about it. Especially considering how little the Pro Bowl means these days.

PS... I always find it humorous when someone plays the "look at the tape" card when they clearly haven't looked at the tape. Lol.

I would take an Aaron Donald type DT over the top Edge rusher every time. Even if the Edge rusher had a couple more sacks. They is nothing worse for an offense or QB than disruption up the middle. it affects anything you are trying to do.
A DT of that caliber will make your regular edge rushers that much better. Rex Ryan is an idiot. LOL

Aaron Donald is one of the great DTs to come along in a very long time though. Having witnessed greatness at the position in Cortez Kennedy, Donald does have that unique disruptive ability to change everything an offense does. And the bastard has made life miserable for my teams QB. I give him his due credit.
