Sunday afternoon.....tries out his new crest spinbrush while brushing teeth, chips 3 in the process and now needs 2 root canals.

Sunday evening - Picks up a voodoo doll's bottle of rum, says "Up your butt, Jobu" drinks rum, gets hit by a flying hockey stick when he steps onto the ice. Concussion. Out 4-6 weeks.

Monday morning, attempts to read the Odyssey, gets headache, out 1 week.

(because he was actually out for headaches before...)

Late Sunday. Puts on his bubble wrap PJs and sleeps soundly (yet loudly when he moves) without any injuries.

Don't laugh. Ravioli can be tricky to eat if you don't know what you're doing.

During his regularly scheduled 1 hour stretch routine before practice Dipietro pulls a groin & a hamstring. He's out for the year.

When asked about the injuries to his star goalie Coach Jack Capuano says, "Doing the SPLITS can be very dangerous & quite painful if not done properly."

Friday nights - watches HBO boxing to see what he's doing wrong.

For practice attempts to shadow box, gets KO'd by shadow, out 6 weeks!

Tuesday morning - Attends the opening of the new Long Island Rick DiPietro Medical Center. Cutting the ribbon goes horribly wrong. Requires blood transfusion.

Wednesday morning - Tried clipping his toenails while wearing his glove and blocker. Doctors were able to save his foot, though he won't be able to skate for months.

Thursday morning - While taking a shower he slips on the wet tile. He tries to break his fall with his right arm. He dislocates his elbow & is out for 6 to 8 months.
