No, but the feeling seems to be that the Titans are using the threat of Brady to get Tannehill signed.

Meaning, "Don't sign and we sign Brady?"

Well for the majority of his career he has been injury prone. So two years doesn't all of a sudden eliminate that issue especiallywhen one of those two seasons was with him being suspended limiting his chances of getting injured.

And again he is a good WR. I've never said otherwise. I do think his game is a bit limited and with Brady he has been able to take advantage of his best skill set.

The trade part is what just makes no sense in this. If a guy like Sam Bradford can fetch a 1st round pick then Jimmy G should fetch much more than that. Right now I would say Edelman is worth maybe a 3rd round pick. So for the trade to make sense the Pats would need to send Edelman and their 1st round pick at least for Jimmy G.

It was actually three years. Which is kind of strange. Considering those are his last three seasons. Normally when players sustain more of their injuries.

I am leery that he will start seeing more and more injuries keeping him off the field just because of the way he plays.

There are not many 33 year old slot receivers that stay healthy for long. Jimmy G hasn't been the best at staying healthy either but again just point to the fact that someone gave up a 1st for Sam Bradford and it just goes to show that QB's are always overvalued. Heck Jay Cutler got 2 1st round picks for the Broncos. I don't believe that Jimmy G is a top-10 QB in the NFL but he did play like it this past season (until the playoffs). He would fetch top compensation.

So the Niners are gonna give up on a guy who had his first full year starting, coming off a torn ACL, was a top 10 QB...and helped lead a team to the SB? A guy who is almost sure to improve with more reps? For a soon-to-be 43 year old, lesser QB? Because nostalgia or some shit?

Hey, give Rock some respect - he did pull this out of his ass afterall!

3/4: The 49ers are "closing hard" on Tom Brady, who did not have a productive phone call with Bill Belichick today. - Tom Curran, NBC Sports Boston

There have been talks about a sign-and-trade involving Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo, though Ian Rapoport said that he hadn't heard anything on that matter. Brady had a phone call with Belichick which, according to Curran, didn't go very well. Things can change in the next two weeks, however, so don't discount the possibility of Brady returning to New England.
