You guys probably already know this, but still might be a bit surprised when you see it on paper. But a Canadian team has not won the cup since the Montreal Canadiens did it back in 1993. 19 years! That is very surprising to me.

Being that at times there have been numerous 'look at me' posts from him here and on the general water cooler in regards to hockey so forgive me if I am skeptical of his 'wonderment of a new sport' posts and polls he is posting.

Even if sincere I do not think anyone has dumped on him too much. If a new fan posted the same type questions and observations on most league themed message boards I think they would receive a much harsher welcome.
