I'm almost hesitant to bring this up again, because the Panic Patrol could use this as their flagship when they lead the charge against a possible 49ers loss.
There was concern in the preseason that when David Baas signed with the Giants, he xerox'd the playbook given to him at Camp Alex and the Giants would know everything the 49ers were doing offensively.
I don't think it will make the slightest bit of difference, because I believe the Giants will learn more from watching 8 games of film than they would from a playbook that might not even have been completed until the Official 49ers training camp. It might make it easier for the Giants to connect a few plays on paper to plays they see on film, but I can't see it giving them a big advantage. I think it would be more valuable to get their hands on the scripted plays that the 49ers will run.
I'm just curious if anyone sees this possibility as an issue, and I stress possibility, since it isn't even confirmed that Baas didn't give the playbook back without making a copy. If I remember correctly, it was just the Trolls who took this and ran with it on ESPN, acting like the season was over before it even began because Baas had a playbook and signed with another team.
