Miles Austin bounced back in a big way from an off day Tuesday. Austin was a nightmare for the defense to deal with in full-team drills, as he caught multiple balls across the middle for big gainers. That success in the middle of the field was particularly vexing for linebacker Sean Lee, who expressed his frustrations quite vocally – as usual.

I like Miles working the middle, especially if Romo hits him on the run. He can get deep and has caught deep passes before but I just dont think thats his specialty. He is definitely a very good number 2 when healthy, and could be some teams number 1. I love his burst. With the attention defenses will have to pay to Dez and Wit, its hard to imagine Austin not having a big year.

If Miles could stay healthy for 16 games across from Dez....:omg:

Yep. He'll be extended or the Cowboys will franchise him. He's not going anywhere

To answer his question correctly no he will not be a FA because he will get a new contract by mid year or tagged; however his contract is scheduled to end after this season. lol

Ha, that's pretty much it. People can say what they want about Jerry and the cap, but he doesn't lose many players he really wants to keep

Trust me, if Lee is not in Dallas next year it won't be because of the cap if you look at my other thread I showed fairly easily how Dallas can have 30MM in cap space going into 2014 offseason with only carrying an extra 7MM in space onto the 2015 cap. Lee will be a Cowboy as will Dez until the wheels fall off of them.

I guess I missed the times a player was tagged with the franchise tag and then left the following year. It's never happened I suppose.

Hey, if you want him, lets make it happen. A Morris, T Williams, and K Cousins for Lee lol

Hmmmm NO.
RB's can be found easily in the draft. Besides, I think RGIII has a lot to do with Morris' success.
T. Williams, would be nice to have, but while he has shown he ca be a top OT he has also shown he can struggle.
Cousins, is too small in my opinion to be a full time NFL QB.

I love Lee, but T Williams would be fair value alone. You may be right about Griffin helping Morris' numbers, but he's still a kid that hung around 1500 and will be making 6th round money the next 3 years. Cousins at worst a top backup, I think he is a starter a couple of years down the line. I made the trade absurd from a Washington standpoint because Lee is a STUD, but if we pulled a young stud OT, a horse of a RB, and a solid young QB, I could live with Carter, Durrant and Sims. The fact that it would still be tough shows Jerry is about to have to warm up his checkbook for Lee

Lee is a perennial ProBowler, I don't see that in Williams. Cousins has two years left on his deal and will be looking for a starting job. In you trade we'd be giving up a Probowl MLB for a very good OT and a RB you can find in any draft. If I make the trade for Williams it would be for him and a draft pick. No lower than a 3rd rounder but I'd really try to work it as a 2nd. Now with that said I'm not sure Washington would be all that eager to trade Williams for Lee. IMO it's all mute anyway because I'm sure Jerry will find away to get Lee a long term deal.
