A few Nebrasketball notes

1) CBI did indeed extend an invitation to Nebraska, and Nebraska declined.

2) NIT committee said Nebraska would have been on the bubble if not for the loss at home to Kent State........would have been in for sure if not for losses at home to Kent State and Purdue.

3) Miles is looking at Biggs, Petteway, and Parker to run the point next year.

4) Matthew Atewe will be making an announcement on March 30th. Nebraska looks to be in good position for a much needed fill.

5) Nebraska was the only team with a losing record to finish in the top 100 of the RPI.

6) The new arena makes me want to bust a nut.

That would be fucking outstanding if we could get a guy with that much height and versatility to handle the ball for us. More rebounds = more wins.

7. Buckeyes only beat Huskerz cuz of the refs. Lulz.

Buckeyes have 8 bluechip players that just happened to come right out of their hometown......

They should have been ahead of the Huskers by 90 points at halftime........instead the refs had to turn the game around on a phantom 3-point foul call right before the half to give them a 5 point lead and all the momentum.

Huskers would have lost, but it would have been by 9 points.

Why decline the invite to the CBI??? That seems strange for a team with good young players. If nothing else you get a few more home games and a few more days/weeks of practice.

new arena isn't ready and old arena is already being renovated or torn down or whatever they are doing with it.

Ah, gotcha. Unfortunately this is why Iowa got a 3 seed in the NIT instead of a 1 or 2. The womens tourney is at Carver this weekend so they couldnt give Iowa a 1 or 2 because they wouldnt have a home game for the weekend anyway since the arena is booked. LOL.

kentucky got that 1 seed and they are going to Robert Morris to play.

Yeah I saw that. Rupp must not be available for some reason. Iowa got the 7 seed last year but got a home game vs Dayotn because the Flyers arena was being used for the First 4 games. Only reason they do that is when the arena isnt available.
