Just a couple of things I noticed when looking at the Broncos all time head to head records, and thought I would share as things to watch for this upcoming season.

The Broncos play all of the NFC North teams this season, and it gets them a chance to get up in the all time head to head marks. They are currently 5-6-1 all time in the regular season against the Packers, so a win will get them to .500. They also apparently played the Packers once in the playoffs and won 31-24, but I don't really remember anything else about that game. :D The Broncos get a chance to move to .500 against the Vikings, also. We currently have a 6-7 mark against them.

We are 7-7 against the Bears, so aside from beating Fox and Cutler, we can move to a winning record all time against them. And we are 6-5 against the Lions, so winning that game will keep us above .500 all time against them.

Sunday's game against Baltimore gives us a chance to move to a regular season winning record against the Ravens; we currently sit at 5-5 against them. Unfortunately, we're 0-2 against them in the playoffs.

And finally, if we can sweep the Chiefs this season, we will move to .500 against them for the first time since we were 0-0. They currently lead the all-time series 56-54 (that includes our 1-0 mark against them in the playoffs), mainly due to their stellar 19-1 record against us in the 1960s. We've been closing the gap ever since, and this year we finally have the chance to even it out.

Now if we can just keep closing the gap on the Raiders...

The Chiefs and Raiders ones are the ones I would love to see change. 1) that would mean we are beating a division rival and 2) it would mean beating them twice or three times in a single season so who wouldn't love that! Even through these last 13 or so years of the Raiders sucking it still has been a huge pleasure to watch us smoke them time and time again.

One non division foe that has always had a bug up my ass is Vikings. I actually like them as a team but they put some losses on Denver over the yrs that really irked me. Pretty sure if my failing memory serves me right, a couple of those Viking wins came in closing mins/ seconds against Denver. Can't remember off top of my head what exactly transpired but I do know I really wanted Denver to kick their butts whenever they played each other. Payback always came to mind so they must of pissed me off once to many times. :)

Just looked at Denver vs Vikings history. They played 13 games to date. 2 ot games ( split ). 11 of the 13 gms were decided by 8 pts or less and of those 11 gms, 8 (if I remember right), were decided by 5 pts or less with many 3 or less. That's why they have special place in my " you gotta be fhucking kidding me, I hate you bastards " football heart.. :)
