WoW, Quick got away with one.

I just saw that replay, he definitely shot the puck with his stick in the no-play zone.

That zone needs to go away anyway, great way to stunt the growth of goaltending

Kings announcers pointed that out. Not the biggest penalty but lucky. karma says Pens get a free too many men penalty later

No, i think they invented that rule to keep your goalie out of the corners :D

Not surprised you don't like it T'lo. Marty is a beast at playing the puck.

Dont get me wrong, thats a big reason I dont like it. But now even after Marty does retire, you wont see many goalies even think about practicing puck handling anymore because theres really no point, theres not much they can do.

No doubt.

It definitely changes the way the goalie position is played. It encourages scoring, but it also weakens the ability of a very talented goal-tender who could enhance his game with playing the puck.

Although, I've been impressed with how Fleury has progressed through his career with working behind the cage. He has improved that part of his game, immensely... even without playing the corners.

Think of how great he may have been able to be if he was allowed to play in the corners?

I don't know... I always cringe a little bit every time Fleury comes out and plays the puck behind the net. More because of his judgement on what to do with it more than the physical handling of the puck. I think most teams pressure him into making mistakes handling it.
