I am driving to the party, and knowing that Florida lost to Vanderbilt, I think the Nebraska coaching staff is safe this year, no matter the outcome. Unless it is worse than anything than anyone has even thought of. Such as Bo Pelini inviting Carl Pelini and Carl brings some of his coaches with him and they have a video tape made of them talking about the fans and passing around marijuana.

The three richest recruiting states; California, Texas, and Florida could all have a head coaching position open at one of their AQ schools.

If that happens, that puts Nebraska as the 4th best position open(at best).

Settling for the possible 4th best coach is not a good thing because Nebraska will be desperate, such as SP was in 2003/2004.

TAs strength is obviously the option, and we have three very capable backs. So Why haven't we seen any sets with both Abdullah and Cross/Newby and run a shovel option? I personally think Newby would be very dangerous in the shovel role.

Moot point. There will be no job opening in Nebraska this year.

This is not an endorsement for Bo and company, just being realistic. Nobody is going to fire a coach who wins 9+ games a year except SP. Huskers will win at least 2 of the next three.
