They are the next team up and for DC fans questions abound, chief among them is what's the true measure of this team's starters? Is it version one that began with Cleveland, or, version two, the fiasco that was Detroit? Whatever happens on saturday, one or the other should ring true. This week as was the case in the other two, the question continues.......no injuries aside.......What do you expect in game 3 from the starters? Who or what part of the team will you reserve for your sharpest scrutiny?

I will be focusing more on the defense, the o-line and thats about it. The QB situation is what it is, so at this point my Obi wan Kanobi has got to be that the defense is vastly improved from the last few years.

Expectations for game 3. Griff will suck swollen blue whale nuts for the 3 week in a row. On ESPN, Griff's play the last two weeks is being discussed. He's still fuckin all the fuck up on what should be a basic and simple 1st read. He's still not reading them right for whatever reason. I think its a combination of the reasons below.

A) Not only is he triflin and an ass0. But as we see more and more f him. He loooks to be becoming dumber from a QB position-wise stand point

B) He's just too damn hardheaded and a hard head makes for a soft ass more times than not.

C) He suckiness will overshadow everything else, hell his suckiness may be overpowering acts of good in fact.

Not wishing him dead or anything, but I see Snyder as owning the Skins for the rest of my life. So regardless how much I or we want it it happen. He's not going anywhere for quite some time. He's the biggest cancer in the Sins organization. Biggest cancer #2 is Griffin and he needs to vacate Redskins Park and the Redskin organization. The Redskins will not start healing or becoming a good team as long as they continue to coddle that ass0.

Every morning I wake up and have some hope I'll hear/read/see that the Skins cut Griffin last night and told him not to let the door hit in the back n the way out.

I'm gonna stay focused on the puppies, see how well they are picking up the pro game. It's going to be a long season and as is often mentioned depth will be a factor. Definitely, want to focus on the new TE's and Sherff's ability to bounce back. I also believe that we will not be seeing Morris and surprise, very little of Jones, so the younger guys will be battling it out for a spot behind these two. There are a couple of wideouts that have shown flashes, likely to PS though and finally, I'm hoping that in this game Gruden orders Forbath to kick it out of the endzone on kickoffs (after that curious comment in yesterday's presser)

I don't know if I should give this post a like or a funny? Either way I agree.

Now that Griffin is out for this game, do your expectations change for the offensive side of the ball?

I now predict that sometime between the hours of 11pm and 12am on Saturday night the talk of the town will be Colt McCoy. Geeez, I hope that I'm wrong, but history tells me that I'm not. So far KC's supporters biggest two arguments for him are:1. He's not Griffin......and...... 2. He looks more polished in the offense. Both are true, but given the opportunity a season ago those two factors turned out to be not very consoling to a mentally beaten Cousins. If Kirk can overcome his own demons, then I'll be wrong and happily so. If not, sometime after the game the most popular QB, as has seemed to be customary in DC, will be the backup!!

Amen to that. Does anyone here understand the concept of preseason games? People are reading way too much into certain things when you have games that are a. meaningless b. often involve crucial players not playing for various reasons & c. vanilla schemes on both sides of the ball.

It appears as if the QB starter for week 1 has already been decided & I highly doubt that hardly any Redskins fans will be calling for McCoy prior to week 1 unless Cousins throws about 8 INTs tonight (which won't happen since Cousins always does well when no pressure is involved). Here's to hoping that Kirk does well with his latest opportunity. HTTR

Sorry guys, you're both wrong on this one. My post is all about the higher expectations allotted to Cousins on this site and in media in general and the reaction that will surely come if he disappoints tonight. This is going to be especially true if he falls into a funk preseason game or not, the reaction (s) are going to be palatable. Trust me I know that it is a preseason game and nothing gets proved, but for tongue waggers the talk here and elsewhere will be more optimistic than need be if he shines. Conversely, doom and gloomers will be at near revolt if he funks up M&T bank.
