Because it doesn't matte whether a game day thread is posted or not, but I like the chatter that (typically) goes on during a game.

Nunez - 3rd
Pagan - lf
Posey - c
Pence - rf
Hernandez - cf
Crawford - ss
Belt - 1st
Bumgarner - sp
Tomlinson - 2nd

And the guy with the 2nd lowest on base (besides the pitcher) bats leadoff and the guy with the lowest on base (besides pitcher) bats 2nd. At least Pence has the highest SLG among all none Hernandez starters.

Oh and there is this - Casilla out as Giants' closer after 9th blown save. I thought that this was announced days ago.

I see the Giants' offense has shown up . . . to get out quickly. Eight pitches is good - for the leadoff batter!

I was going to start one if one wasn't going on, appreciate you starting it. Just got home in time for Bum.

Kershaw has always been a guy where I don't mind the aggressiveness. You don't want to have 2-strikes on this guy, and he usually attacks early with pitches around the plate.

Thor got pulled in the 4th, 5 ER 99 pitches. I'm glad to see he's vulnerable.

Why even have the rule about trying to get out of the way of the pitch on the books? Utley leaned over the plate there, and Grandal made zero attempt to get out of the way.

I do wonder if Blanco has a place on this team next year. He was a great Giant for 4 years, and we know why he was so bad this 5th year. His value is basically gone, so he'd come cheap. His defense has slipped the last 3 years. Meanwhile, in such a small sample size, Gorkys looks great out there. Is it fair to kick Blanco to the curb after an injury plagued year? Can we trust Gorkys? Just something that came to mind after 2 balls went his way that inning.

Yeah it's a dumb rule. There's been a couple times this year it's happened.

Nunez, belly slide! Oh well, I'll take the run. What a trip around the bases. Speed kills.

No way in hell is Blanco back next year.

He was a GREAT Giant, but time is not his friend. Gorkys does everything he does, only better and cheaper.

And I am not convinced Gorkys has a spot on the roster next year.

Any question who owns this team?

Posey just calmly tells Pagan to go back to the dugout and Pagan shuts his trap and walks back.
