If I'm Ferd's DC my plan would be to drop 8 or 9 into the box and force Jake to beat us through the air knowing what their strength and weaknesses are in road games.
That's one thing I've never understood. We really don't run enough quick outs or plays designed to beat pressure up the middle and it's a big part of why Jake takes too many sacks or otherwise has broken plays.Vertical passes or screen passes?
