HUGE game by Peavy. Not sure I agree with giving him to opportunity to shine like that in the 7th, given his track record, but fuck it. It worked!

Only the third time in 18 starts he's completed 7 innings. The others were July 8th (his second start back from injury) against the Mets and Sept. 11th against the Padres.

Brown leadoff single. The kid seems a little scrawny to be a catcher, but I like his approach at the plate. Seems patient.
Now that the Posey rule in is effect, no reason for the catcher to be a plug.
