Cardinals @ Cubs
Pirates @ Dodgers
Yankees @ Mets

And don't forget, the compelling matchup between the Phillies and the Braves. These two teams are both on pace for 100 loss seasons. This series is going to look like a half dozen RedBull-fueled handicapped kids trying to fuck a greased watermelon. Buckle up, folks, we're gonna find out which team really has the will to lose.

The Kansas City Royals' divisional pennant will be their first one in the twenty-two year history of the AL Central.

My worst nightmare

The Mets destroy the Yankees season, and go on to win a World Series

I have to move to Cape Verde

If the standings hold, this will be the Tigers' seventh time finishing in the basement of the AL Central.

Houston seems to be in a tailspin and the Yanks have a 6-in-the-loss-column lead over the Twins. With 17 left to go, the Yankees should be able to hang on. Sabathia's been really good the last month and a half - sub-3 ERA. We'll see, I guess.

I'm interested to see how Yankees fans would react to the do or die Wild Card game.

I think Jays-Sox will be competitive as hell, too. Who knows how Stroman will do in his second start tonight, Dickey's on the mound tomorrow to serve HR's to all who desire them, and the struggling Buehrle is up Sunday against a 35 year old the Jays should really be lighting the fuck up.

GO METS

I know Kuechel has struggled, but he has absolutely dominated the Yankees the past 2 seasons, its a one game playoff that wouldnt excite me, but i guess its better than not being in it at all

I was really hoping for a 9th inning implosion last night. A 2-pitch save? The fuck, Cleveland?!

Don't know, but tonight I'm going to my fourth game in the last six days.

I've got awesome seats - about seven rows back, right behind homeplate. If you happen to watch the game, keep an eye out for me. I'll be the mulatto with the indian headdress, lederhosen and a big sign that says "Fuck Hawk Harrelson Right In The Ass."

Don't forget to write "Hi Danny" in the corner.

I know how it feels. The Indians hosted the Rays a few years back for the Wild Card Game and lost. Exciting as fuck though. I had pretty great seats to that game too:

I'm a BIG fan of the Wild Card format, though.

I like that idea. Team goes all season gets 90 wins and is eliminated after one game? Also, they should make the first series 7 games. I hate the short series format of 5 games.
I love the 5 game series.

Why the hell do the playoffs need to be 4 months long? By the time they crown NHL and NBA champs I'm already drunk on a beach. Baseball is fine as is.

A team that goes all season, gets 90 wins and finishes second in their division is lucky to have a shot at the playoffs at all.
