How is it, even with Belt's slump, that any of the three outfielders bring more to the plate than Belt? Is Belt hurt or is Bochy getting weird with Belt again? In case Bochy hasn't noticed, Belt is far from the only guy on this team slumping.

I see two possibilities...

1) He is hurt

2) He has a piss-poor attitude and Bochy is done with him

While I don’t rule out no. 2, I can’t imagine he will have been tossed to the curb only 1 year after signing his Uber-contract. That leaves no. 1.

If it is 2, Belt needs to take some ownership. He is sneaky good as a 1st baseman but not in the traditional sense, which obviously hurts his standing with Bochy's old school thinking. If it is number 1, why not just shut him down for the year? There is no need to play hurt at this point.
