Luke Falk and the Pirate of the Palouse travel south to a smokey Cal stadium for the Friday night cap game of the week.

Current line: WSU -16.5 O/U 54
WSU 6-0, 3-0 in conference.
Cal 3-3, 0-3 in conference.

There are fires in the area and air quality has been shifting. The Pac12 announced this game will be played, however they will treat it like a game with lightning in the area. They will be monitoring the air and if winds shift and go up to unsafe levels, they will pull the teams off the field until it shifts and goes back down to acceptable levels. This leaves the very real possibility this game will run extra long.


WSU is coming off a dominating road win at Oregon 33-10. Their defense entirely shut out the ducks after the first quarter. Cal is coming off a crushing road loss at Washington where they managed a total of -40 rushing yards and really struggled in all phases of the game.

This one shouldn't be even close unless the Bears find this guy to play on defense given the date today:

Strange things happen on Pac12 after dark games and with the fires in the area and it being a Friday the 13th the stage is certainly set for strange.

Cal would have to have a massive turn around from how they have looked the last couple of weeks. They did play a strong game against USC at home for most of that game, but have really regressed substantially since.

WSU would really have to coug this game up bad to even make it close.

So of course it's possible.
