This game . . . brings up emotions I haven't felt in a while. What is this? It seems so long. I can't put my finger on this feeling. It's . . . it's . . . enjoyment!

Everyone looking good, except for Peavy and Blanco (and maybe Span and Panik).

Just noticed that Nunez was a home run and Belt a triple short of the cycle.

So happy for Cainer. Hopefully he's found whatever he's been missing.

Interesting start from Cain again tonight. Prompts this question:

Would you take five good to excellent innings per start from him the rest of the year?

Bum, JC, Moor, Shit all go deep typically...

Of course . . . as long as Bum, JC and Samardzija could last longer than they have the last month or so. The bullpen would look much better, and taxed less, that way. Plus 5 good innings from Cain looks a lot better than 3 bad innings. Either way, can you ask much more from a 5th starter?

If you can get 5 SOLID consistently from your #5, you have the best #5 in the bigs. And he then becomes your #4 in the playoffs.

Jesus, I had some dark thoughts in my head when Pence fouled that ball off his eye. Seriously, this dude has some weird shit happen at the plate (thrice hit ball?!).

After that, this was a feel-good game. Cainer was starting to look pretty good before he went down with the injury, looks like he's picking up where he left off (him coming back in Boston was just cruel). I'm glad Belt is back to hitting 3rd. I like the way this lineup was constructed tonight, hopefully we see it more (though not tomorrow with Pence off).
