I know Stokes was quoting you, but that was one of Nolan's many bitches, I think in reference to Manny Burriss or someone else on the Giants for how they wore their hat.

I agree it's kinda dumb as fashion but it's kind of 'get off my lawn'-ish to get worked up about it. I like characters in the sports I follow, I like color. The weirdos are part of the fun for me.

I had forgotten that Foolsense had issues with the hat of Burriss. So much nonsense to absorb at any one time.

I'd agree with Cal, though. While I am not a fan of the hat wearing styles, to extrapolate to Maddon's skills as a manager is just, well, foolish.

I am not upset over the way their closer wears his hat as much as I am shocked that Madden allows him to wear it askew...... Why wouldn't he say When you are on work time you wear it like everyone else, on your time you wear your lid how you want ?

I think we understood what you were saying (at least, that's how I took it).

However, without a stated team rule or a league-wide stance, Madden would not be able to make that requirement.

The Spanks have a team policy about facial-hair.

The NBA has a league-wide policy about traveling in a suit.

The NFL has a list a mile long about what can and cannot be worn and when and where.

MLB has very few policies about this.

Further, how would they define, exactly, what "askew" means? Centered on the nose? How far askew would be allowed?

Again, I agree with you that the hat-thing is a joke. I am full-on Mr Wilson in regards to that thing. However, I do not see any way it can be legislated in the game, and I do not see anything that Madden can do in this situation.
