If we re-sign Byrd, I hope he plays better than Winn did in his first full season with the Giants.

Keep in mind that Winn was 31 when he was acquired. Byrd turned 38 yesterday.

He has a role this team needs right now. Flexibility to play 2B/SS and most importantly, all of his limbs are working right now. Limbs working = place on 25-man roster at the moment
