Trying to clinch a series win and keep the hopes for a broom alive. Moore is doing his best to piss off tz in the first, though.

6-2 good guys.

I liked the trade. But he has looked like doggie dodo since coming over.
His control has been worse since coming over. Before Nunez started hitting, this looked like one of the worse mid-season trades in a long while for the Giants.

And you guys want this mfer taking Cains spot in the rotation?

I would rather send him packing and call up Suarez or Blach.

I am floored.

I just looked PVs numbers since moving to pen...

Discounting today's blowup...

6 IP, 1 ER, 9 hits, 1 BB, 7 K. He has inherited 2 runners and only let one of them score.

He just hasn't felt that dominating.

Well, when his whip is nearly 2 out of the pen, I can see why most don't fee like he's dominating. He's flirted with disaster and it finally got him today.

I do NOT understand leaving PV in for two whole innings. He gave up 5 runs in a tight game. The bullpen might be gassed, but this was a close, winnable game, until PV poured gasoline on a smoldering fire. :L

And here I thought we had turned a corner.

When the decision was made to have him pitch 2, it wasn't close anymore. He gave up the bulk of his damage in his first inning. After he made this one a laugher, he might as well eat innings.

I am not concerned after this loss. Sweeping a 3 game series is VERY hard. Sweeping a 4-gamer is next to impossible. This was a close game until our last bully arm decided to change that.

I think we take them tomorrow, and one way or the other, Suarez takes the bump next time we need a #5. No more farting around with Cain or PV in anything close to resembling a big moment. PV likely gets DFA'd or 60'd to make room for a body by the 1st.

Still too much all-around inconsistency. Just tough to get any kind of good streak going with the type of pitching today.

The less of the BP tomorrow, the better, so Samardzija needs a QS. Would expect to see Suarez or Blach start next Sat. vs. ATL, hopefully not Peavy. Also, Moore needs to get it together soon, mainly been a disappointment so far.

My posts were guesses who would take over the vacant spot in the rotation, not who I wanted to see start. The Giants can still lean too hard toward veterans (although not nearly as bad as they used to) and that's why I'd be floored to see Peavy dfa'd this season. He ends the season with the team and rides off into retirement.

Hell he had plenty of them in Apr and May. Coaching staff needs to start reviewing those vids and give the feedback to Sammy.

Reds up 7 on doggies :pound:
