Didn't see it. Heard about it. Still doesn't make it more likely the Sox put Price on the DL to hide him from the fans.

Here's my whole problem with this brewhaha. I don't think what Price said was all that bad. Dick thing to say? Yes. (especially the "Now get the fuck outta here" line). But if he said it with a smirk or a slight smile on his face it changes the context 100%. I'm assuming that he didn't because we would have heard about it by now, but still.

This whole thing seems to be a minor incident that the media has just massaged into being a big deal. Eck has known for a long time exactly what was said, didn't complain to the team or the media about it. Let's just move on.

especially in the Boston media we will never know what actually did happen. Hell it's the Globe telling the story for christ sake

Also, listening to Yacht Rock is NOT gay, asshole, and I'll fuck any dude that says otherwise!

Yacht Rock...they better play a ton of Captain and Tennile, Jimmy Buffet, Gilbert O'Sullivan, and Christopher Cross

No, I don't think they fit the mood.

However, Austin Skaggs, son of Yacht Rock staple Boz Skaggs, and music critic for Rolling Stone wrote that the Moondoggies are "seriously kick-ass," so there's that.
Serious kick ass

That's cause Eckersley is old school. I have a ton of respect for that guy. He's the Anti-Curt Shilling.

Flair for the dramatic: Red Sox reclaim first place in insane fashion

BOSTON -- Amid the euphoria and the sheer delirium, Christian Vazquez stood with his back to the Boston Red Sox dugout, arms in the air, just bathing it all in.

And then came the bath.

Xander Bogaerts sneaked back onto the field and dumped a bucket of red Gatorade on Vazquez, who moments earlier had crushed a walk-off three-run home run to almost straightaway center field. It was quite likely the hardest ball the Boston catcher has ever hit, and it ended probably the strangest game you will see all season, a 12-10 Red Sox victory over the Cleveland Indians.

"This was a PlayStation game, you know?" Bogaerts said. "You keep bouncing back and forth. It was like PlayStation."
Great game to watch.

Not a lot of Captain & Tennille, not sure why. Practically no Jimmy Buffet, I'm assuming because he has his own station on SiriusXM. I don't think there's much Gilbert O'Sullivan, but I'm not sure I'd know it if I heard it. Cristopher Cross yes.

A lot of Toto, Doobie Brothers, Michael McDonald, Boz Skaggs, Steely Dan, Hall & Oats.

I turned it off. Doesn't jive with the office vibe.

Is that your brother's or cousin's band?
No. Just a local band that I follow and have seen live a few times. The Maldives are pretty good too. And there was a pretty good punk scene in Olympia a few years back.

Don't Mets fans say this every day to begin with?

No, a lot of us start off with a prayer:

"Oh Lord, I thank Thee that Thou didst not make me a Yankee, a Red Sock, or a Philly"
