It didn’t look serious, but if he has a mild sprain of his landing ankle, even a minor sprain can cause problems.

I wouldn’t call disco an easy IL placement. He is a starter and we are awfully thin on starters atm…. We need to eat innings.

I agree but there are not a lot of easy moves right now. Moronta will have to be activated by Sunday, unless he has a sudden "setback" on his rehab.
The other hard part is who goes off the 40 man roster for Moronta? Only Cueto is on the 10 day and Bart is on the IL with Sacramento. Is he done for the season? That would make it easy, call him up like Beede and place him on the 60 day. Otherwise, one of these 12 will need to be dfa'd: Baragar, Brebbia, Castro, Doval, Jackson, Long, Tromp, Dubon, Estrada, Vosler, Davis or Duggar.
Of course, Tyler Chatwood could be an easy removal, from both the active and 40 man rosters.

You can throw some blame at McGee for not protecting a 1-0 game in the 9th. But the Giants did waste 2 opportunities to tack a run or 2 to extend the lead. 3rd inning with runners at 2nd and 3rd with one out and nada. 5th inning with runners at 1st and 2nd and one out and a double play. So yea you can throw some blame at McGee, but some goes to the offense for not capitalizing.
