Omfg....when is Kelby and Williamson coming back?
Mac will be a September call up. Evans said so yesterday on KNBR.

After trading for Nunez, you gotta assume the org isn't that high on KT.

Ok, day game tomorrow. Watching wasn't an option anyway...

They can get the losing over earlier in the day and get swept. They probably didn't learn anything anyway from facing Nova in late July, except that they can't hit him.

I can take losing if there is little/no expectations on the team, or if the team just flat out sucks.

But this is a championship-level team. This is not fun to watch. Seriously. This is down-right painful.
It's beyond torture.

If anyone can push the buttons or pull the strings it's Boch.

Time to work some of that magic Noggin!!

How cool would it be to have JoNa come in and make his presence felt? You know, lock down some wins, or get out of some sticky (stinky?) situations. Gs have made some effective pick-ups in previous runs, soooo...

Poor tzill, he's probably already pooped his pants once and his seatmates are probably hashtagged out.
best seats I've ever had in my life. Second row, behind the plate. Those seats are actually below field level. Eye line is about the knees. And my night rested on EA hitting a sac....sigh....

For some reason, the organization is in love with that guy and keeps giving him more chances. He was the worst possible option for an AB in that situation.

Which makes no sense to me. What did Tomlinson do to lose the org's trust?
I agree. And I hadn't even connected the dots on that dynamic until I wrote that post.

But why trade for Nunez if you have KT just sitting there unless you don't see KT as much of an asset. :noidea:

Think about what happened before Nunez was traded for. The Giants had Green and Pena (and I think Tejada too, cannot remember when he got dfa'd) on the active roster when Tomlinson came off the dl. None of those guys were removed from the roster. Instead, Tomlinson gets optioned. Then, within a week all three of Tejada, Pena and Green were dfa'd and Nunez was acquired. Go figure.

Adrianza seems to have picked up where he left off in April. After going 1 for 5 in his first games back, he's gotten hits in 3 of his last 6 at bats. He seems to becoming a nice bench option.
So THIS was the Colin post that killed the game...

This would have been a loss where I kinda shrug my shoulders and think "it happens", though the various other circumstances surrounding this game made it fucking painful.

I learned my lesson as we went through a similar spate of horrible ball in 2014. I threw in the towel (as no team had ever had as bad a two month stretch as we did and made the playoffs) and promised myself that if we did come back and make the playoffs I wouldn't do that again.

I'm trying (between games) to remain positive. #evenyear

They were something like 15-28 (.349) in that awful stretch in 2014. Assuming that they lose again to PIT and get swept today, they will be on pace for a worse stretch at 9-21 (.300), with a worse BP and pitching overall.

Not to mention the worst collection of non-clutch hitters in the majors, and a 3b coach who can't seem to figure it out.

Blech!
