TZ must be really busy at work today. Or vac.

Let's salvage one game anyway.

7-5 good guys.

I am sure it really isn’t, in fact, the way it looks, but it certainly LOOKS like the team gave up at the deadline.

Pitiful

2 games since the Panik-Bomb (tm) and both games has been absolute zero-intensity turds.

Either FZ tried to shake up the locker room and lost it instead, or the “professionals” in there just don’t give a shit.

FZ has his work cut out for him. I fear that the locker room culture may be poison at this point. And the guys who own that room (Posey, Bum, Craw) are the guys who the fans will not allow the team to get rid of.

In six of the last eight games, the Giants have no hits with RISP that scored any runs. In two games, they had a hit with RISP, but it did not score a run.

Bad stretch right now, especially after the delightful hot streak. I guess we were all fooled by the hot streak. This is really a so-so pitching team, with a great bullpen, and abysmal hitters.

What does that even mean, 'gave up'? Are they not trying now? They just aren't a good baseball team, I don't see any hustle problems. Those guys are playing...as good as they can.

Um, speak for yourself. I acknowledged that it created a marketing headache, but I never saw this as a playoff team.

Duggar was diagnosed with a sprained left shoulder and will likely require a trip to the injured list, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Spin: Duggar suffered the injury making a diving catch during Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Nationals. He's slated to undergo an MRI, after which the severity of the injury, along with a timetable for his return, should emerge. Either way, it sounds like the Giants are planning on bringing up another outfielder to replace Duggar on the roster

Bad abs. No walks. 1st inning runs given up again.

The hot streak was a mirage. But they were doing the little things. They were patient. They were hitting. They weren’t giving up 1st inning runs.

So with Duggar likely headed to the DL, who takes his spot? I would guess that Gerber and McCarthey are the leading candidates.

They aren't TRYING to give up first inning runs. They aren't trying not to hit. Every team looks great when they win and shitty when they lose. They don't have the talent of a playoff team so they are going to look shitty more often than great.

The hot streak was a mirage, or rather a meaningless moment in a long season. It doesn't mean they have given up. This is who they are.

Milwaukee lost a shit ton in a row, now winners of 3 straight. The Cards are on a 5 game losing streak. Remember when the crappy Mets came to town? Hottest team in baseball, 6 wins in a row, 9-1 in last 10. It's not effort differences.

I actually think we may see Joey Rickard. I assume that McCarthy will be left in AAA for now just to see if he can hit consistently there. But Gerber is a very real possibility for getting called up as well.

Davis is hot and the flavor of the week. Why not? He's only played 25 games in CF in his minor league career.

Gerber has played about 1/3 of his minor league games in CF, so is a true CF.

But hey, we have Superman patrolling CF. We need an OF who can actually hit, and maybe, just maybe, hit for some power.

Both Davis and Gerber are hitting .359 in their last ten games.
