Sharks are not going to win this division. Anaheim has two games in hand, actually three since they can't tie Anaheim due again to all the god damn shootouts. Looks like it will be San Jose vs Los Angeles in the 1st round. Good job guys giving 2 points away to Florida, 1 to Washington, and 1 to Calgary. 4 big points to inferior teams and 3 of those on home ice. Anaheim win has less value now than before and is no longer the biggest game of year. Same ole same ole Sharks.

yeah, they arent playing that badly, but the wasted points may well haunt them if they have to face off against LA in the first round. Suddenly, they cant score goals... just 9 goals in the last 5 games against a bunch of bottom feeders (other than ANA). I think the big culprit remains the PP. They have shown basically no signs of coming out this months long slump.

Until Boyle gets off the PP, I dont think it's gunna change meaningfully. His play has been so painfully bad and he's another minus this game, and leads the team D in minus while not producing at all on the PP, despite another nearly 3 PP mins again this game. he doesnt have a PP goal since January 11th, and only has 3 assists in that span despite the first minute of every PP. Now, I know many of the players are struggling so it's not fair to pin it all on Boyle, but he stands out to me like a sore thumb. his shots arent effective, he isnt streaking in and putting pucks in or making the PK move around. Tmac has gotta stop putting him on the top unit.

So this is what the 23rd or 24th season for the franchise? They have made the playoffs 17 of those seasons and haven't missed the dance in a decade. I know it's easy to be critical but that is a heck of a job by this franchise.

They didn't even deserve the 1 point. Sharks will make it a tough game tomorrow in EDM. Would not be surprising if they lose again.

It would be nice to at least make an appearance in a Stanley Cup Final in one of those 17 seasons. Never have. Rarely has a team in sports been so successful in the regular season and such a flop in the playoffs. There are others but not over 10 straight seasons.

St. Louis Blues

Technically they made the finals in 1968, 1969, 1970 although rules at the time made it easier for them to get there. Got swept all three times. But still they have finals appearances and the Sharks don't. Even Florida has been to the finals.
