Yeah, that is about what mine will look like...the stock 66. Part of the issue is the back springs do sag, so that makes it look even more pronounced.

I've always been a Ford Mustang Fan

My dad has a neighbor that has a pony in need of rescue. They offered to sell it to me for $800.

I could either start stripping down and restoring this:

Or start putting mods on my new one:

Mods would be easier. I don't get as much time to spend in the garage as I used to...

Already ordered my cold air intake, cat back exhaust, and lowering springs to get rid of the unsightly 4X4 wheel gaps.

I'd take that 2013 Boss 302 at the start of this thread.
That's a badass car too.

Nice 5.0!!
Are you going to use an H-Pipe, or X-Pipe on your exhaust?

Hard to see the small pic, but it looks pretty rough for $800. Check the Vin.# 5th digit will be a letter, that's the engine code. Post that if you get a chance. That'll tell you if it's worth the money. Coupes generally aren't high dollar cars, but back in those days you could order the package you wanted. So it could have a HiPo 289?? You never know.

Going with a magna flow cat back with X Pipe. Shooting for 420 to the wheels after custom tune.

The 65 would be a total strip down resto-mod. Almost too much work. It has a lot of the typical mustang rot on the floor pans and rear quarters. I offered $400 just because it's a shame to see it sitting out rusting away.

I think the 5th letter was a "T" which stands for "Take it out" and stick in something bigger.

Typical for those cowls to rust as well. That's a pain.

Nice, my Bro has an '01 GT w/ X-Pipe, no cats.
Sounds good, but I prefer the deeper H-Pipe tone. But it's all in personal preference, I think both sound nice.

"K" would be the one you want.

My son in law has a 5.0 with the Boss Quad Exhaust on it he says he'd gladly trade me if I don't like the X pipe.

I went to look at a 13 Boss 302 and almost drove it home. I wasn't a fan of the vinal racing stripes though. Up close they looked kind of cheap. I bought the GT Premium instead mainly because it's a daily driver.

My wife wanted me to get the Corvette. And I can't lie, the one I test drove was really nice but like I said, I've always been a Ford Guy. Plus the driving the vette made me feel claustrophobic.
