Oh well... there should be a limit on how many Freeman's are in MLB
Nuance once again escapes you. I didn't think we could get 13 outs without giving up a run. Not happy to be proven right as it was an obvious call. Nothing to do with "don't think they can win," more to do with game situation and score. Given the number of outs they needed to get without a run and the unlikelihood of scoring vs the Cleveland bullpen it was a pretty easy call.Yes tzill, we know you don't think they can win games even ones they have a lead. You don't think they can win any games unless they have a big lead early, because you are a weak ass frontrunner.
I do agree they may not score again here, maybe save the loser talk for if they actually lose. Just an idea.
Looks like Hjelle may have hit a wall. I like the improvement he made this year, but making him an integral part of the pen may still be a bit premature. In all three games the pitcher who should have gotten the loss actually did
I dunno, I think he's generally solid. That meatball to Naylor though....yeesh.Looks like Hjelle may have hit a wall. I like the improvement he made this year, but making him an integral part of the pen may still be a bit premature.
Every pitcher gives up home runsI dunno, I think he's generally solid. That meatball to Naylor though....yeesh.
Send your protests to Señor Jelly. We had this game, I’m going to have to protest this loss now.
Just a thought ...you tend to equate almost any HR to a pitcher throwing a 'meatball'. Just not sure how accurate that statement is. Have to give the batter some credit somewhere along the line.I dunno, I think he's generally solid. That meatball to Naylor though....yeesh.
Most of the time, HRs ARE a mistake over the middle of the plate. I appreciate that hitters are elite too, and sometimes they can blast one that isn't a meatball (see, e.g. Conforto's last HR) but usually it's a bad pitch. Hjelle's was definitely a horrible pitch.Just a thought ...you tend to equate almost any HR to a pitcher throwing a 'meatball'. Just not sure how accurate that statement is. Also ...the pitcher is throwing a ball 61 feet ... at 90 mph ... has to hit a target that is 17 inches wide and between the batters shoulders and knees. Not that easy of a task. I also think that every batter has a somewhat different sweetspot. Just not sure HRs are meatball pitchs ... more likely a lucky swing ...
