(I'm not read to sell yet).

All that said, Scutaro has zero trade value, might even be negative trade value. Oxy won't get anything since he isn't healthy (and we clearly don't even have a competent AAA-CF, let alone someone who can start for an MLB team)

No one wants to pay Lincecum 18M.

We won't be able to dump all $18MM, but we can dump maybe half.

I'm not giving up on the season, but as of right now this isn't close to a playoff team.

5-19 past 24 games.

i'll check but I believe that is worst in baseball during that time

I meant, if the season ended today Giants are in. with 70+ to play.

They may indeed collapse further and miss the playoffs but anyone declaring it a done deal right now is trolling.

Oh please....just try being a Padre fan for two weeks when you want to discuss approaches at the plate being insane. I think our team BA is somewhere around .215 right now.

So why are beating the Giants regularly except when Lincecum pitches? Giants have $150 million payroll and are hitting like they are in low A ball.

:frusty:

Tzill is right, I gotta let this go.

Nope, but I've made my peace with it. You're still disappointed and angry. I moved through that phase yesterday.

You have shown over the years that you love to be right (remember Arias = HanRam?). So if the Giants fail to make the playoffs youre Mr Right. Lot of Nolan in you lately. Make your peace with it and shut the hell up so the rest of us can still root for them.

Morse Blanco and Craw up. Three capable hitters. The odds of tying it up?

I do remember that...not my high point of analysis. GP throttled me. I hope earnestly I'm not Mr. Right, but I can't see this team, this year, getting into the playoffs. I'll still follow every game, but I refuse to get pissed off about it anymore.

As for the STFU comment, I'll take that as you still being angry. We're all fans here.

That's the classic Nolan strategy, just assume failure, so you wont be disappointed, wont get mad, etc.
It's weak and I thought you were better than that.

It's not "weak." It's realizing the truth. This has been the worst stretch of baseball probably since they moved into AT&T. I still have faith in the FO, and the org. It's the end of this run with these players, by and large. I don't "assume failure," in fact I was not one to concede the division at the beginning of the year as some (cough, cough) did.

We need to look at 2015, and get back to being a pitching and defensive oriented team. Dumping larger contracts and older players (Huddy, Panda, Oxy, Timmy, Scoots, Romo, Morse, Affeldt, Tron) can create the room to get younger FAs and obtain prospects.

I'm ok with what the Giants are this year -- a not very good team with a bizarre fantastic start.

I just hope the org has the balls to sell.
