Time for us to win 22 straight games and take back the NL West. Surprise everyone, this is going to happen

Useless trivia:

The longest win streak in MLB history at 26 games is held by...

...the 1916 New York Giants.

They also had a 17 game win streak that year.

Here comes the punchline...

...that year, they finished fourth in the NL.

Winning streaks are overrated, apparently. Still, I wouldn't mind an extended overrated winning streak starting sometime soon. Would have preferred sooner, but you know how it is. The Giants organization was pretty weighted down by their upcoming appearance at the White House. Now that's out of the way, they can get back to playing good, solid, tortuous baseball.

Is it against baseball rules to leave Zito in Philly. Don't let him on the team plane, or the team hotel, when he comes back to SF tell security there is no "Barry Zito" on the roster or affiliated with the club?

I was just thinking the same thing.

I don't care if we have to bring Kickham back up to get pounded. At least he has a future. Zito has little future with this team. And part of me will always be grateful for his stellar performances in 2012, but another part wants him gone by the end of July. That is July 2013.

Now up to 42 pitches in the 1st inning, and the bases full of Philth.

Remember how much we hated Zito pre-2012 because he was crap but he then rescued himself last year. Welp the very, very, very bad Zito is back. BYE BYE

So your pitcher struggles throwing 45 pitches in the 1st inning.

Frenchy sees 4 pitches before making an out.

Pill sees 4 pitches before singling.

GQ GIDP on the first pitch.

Way to go. I want GQ gone as well. He makes Whiteside look like George Brett.

I think I have completely snapped. I am actually rooting for the other team, because this is just too funny. How many new, inventive, embarrassing ways can this team lose games?

The good news is that maybe he'll have 90 pitches by the end of the second, and we'll have to PH for him when we bat in the third.

:gaah:

Agree. If they want defense, call up Williams. If they want offense, call up Monell. If they want to actually build for the future, call up Susac.

I do not understand why GQ is here. He adds nothing. One AB was nice, but blind squirrels and all that...

At least we have Moscoso on the roster to go 3+ innings if Zito does continue to impersonate a fish on the deck of a boat.
